From 1994 to 2001 Lars Felgner studied rhetoric, journalism and communication studies at the University of Tübingen, the University of Vienna (Austria) and the San Francisco State University in California (USA). He received his master's degree in 2001 at the Eberhard-Karls-University in Tübingen with his master's thesis on Ethical aspects of corporate public relations: a theoretical background study on the necessity of an ethical foundation for public relations work.
During and after his studies, he perfected his knowledge of business communication and public relations, both in theory and practice, in Germany and the USA. Since 2002 he has lived and worked in Slovenia as a translator, lecturer for German and teacher of rhetoric, public speaking, and interpreting. Since 2010 he has been a full-time lecturer for German language at the Department of German with Dutch and Swedish (Faculty of Arts, University Ljubljana). He teaches modern German language at all levels (Bachelor and Master), German for business and commercial purposes as well as rhetoric and public speaking.
In 2015 he received his PhD degree from the Faculty of Arts (University Ljubljana) by defending his doctoral thesis on The importance of non-verbal and prosodic aspects in interpreted medical conversations. In the field of research, he is dedicated not only to rhetoric but also to non-verbal communication and community interpreting.
