• Evaluation of science in Slovenia and the EU.
• Information systems and databases for monitoring and searching scientific and professional publications.
• Types and characteristics of professional and scholarly publications. Typology of publications.
• Principles of professional and scientific writing (text structure, citation and referencing, writing style).
• Changes and trends in scholarly publishing and communication (publishing in science, unethical publishing practices, the concept of open science, open research data, community science).
• The role of libraries in monitoring and supporting scientific research activities.
