Definition of the subject:
From personnel management to Human Resource Management and Human Resource Development (HRM, HRD), the role of HRM in Slovenia and in other countries.
Dilemmas of HRD and planning at the national level. Basic principles of educational and HRD planning: who should it satisfy (individual, society). Different fields of educational and HRD planning.
Methods and techniques of educational and HRD planning.
Educational needs (national, business level), methods and techniques of assessing educational needs at national and business levels (systemisation of workloads, work descriptions, interviewing managers and employees, documentation analysis, organisational plans ...). Conditions which stimulate or hinder educational needs assessment in firms.
HRM (recruitment, education, training, career development, selection of educational and training programmes, information system and databases, monitoring education and learning of employees), relevant legislative and other measures. Data protection. Evaluation of HRM and HRD.
